i play in uk.
weve encountered this kill point imbalance and come up with an in house rule - though we usually use tournament based 'double scenarios' like nova.
instead of giving simple kill points per unit - which is a huge disadvantage to an army with almost enforced multiple units [like say DE] we balance it out thus:
for killing first three enemy units [any] = 2 kill points
for killing 50% of enemy units by value or by number [usually easier to assess than you might think] = 3 kill points
for killing more [by number] units than the opponent = 1 kill point
for killing all enemy troop units = 1 kill point
this gives a maximum of 7 points available [rather than 14 or 16 !] and balances out against the objective points that usually occur in tournament 'double scenarios' [usually in the range 6 to 10 objective points] - as 1st kill and warlord kill are really existing 'kill points' it seems to work more equitably.

That's really interesting. I have not seen a scheme like that before, thanks for posting. The TO here was talking about some schemes in the future based around percentages of an army killed, which this is sort of similar to but has more nuance. Looks like it would be easy to balance directly against objectives. E.g., 2 side objectives for 2 points and one center one worth three and going for either kills or objectives would give up the same points. I'll have to think about this more, definitely appreciate the note!
