Not a huge number of 40K'ers in my neck of the woods, so I don't have much of an opportunity to chat about the hobby. I've come to find that folks who frequent the BoLS boards here to be a solid lot, and as such I don't mind so much sharing some of the many projects I have running in tandem.

If you get sick of the "updates", do let me know. Thanks for taking the time to look.

A few of the works-in-progress I have going at the moment...

Looted Wagon w/ Boomgun & Big Shootas:

The humble beginnings of a cadre of World Eaters. Champion:

Detail of the Power Axe:

Pretty standard fare here, but... the "Twins":

Continued...

Couple of analogs (counts-as)...

Kharn. (Yep, I know it's not an axe. Trying something different):

And finally, Huron Blackheart:

Took quite some time to get the Heavy Flamer to the point I was satisfied. End result is decent enough, I think.

As I get more paint slapped on these, I'll update...

...for all two of you who are still reading. :)

The Looted Wagon is awesome, lots of well placed orky bitz.

Kharn's looking great in his Mk IV armour too.

Thanks for the kind words.

A different angle on the Looted Wagon:

Still missing something I think (besides paint, of course)... but I don't want to overdo. It'll come to me.

"Kharn" is in the queue tonight for some attention with fine-grit sandpaper. I tried a metallic 'wash' with some less expensive acrylic, and the results were less than spectacular. After a bit of rough love:

I really like the ammunition drum on the Champion how did you make that one?

johnny5: The million-dollar question. I've been staring at that kitbash for two years now. She's getting closer to becoming... something, with the addition of the twin quads. When I know, I promise you'll know.

Felland: I cannot take credit for that ammo drum. That's a stock Ork Shoota out of one of the older Boyz sets.

rbryce: Now I'm going to have to count when I get home. see exactly how many of the beasties I actually own. I can think of at least seven right off the top of my head. That's rather... sad.

Aldramelech: You know the solution to that quandary, don't you? Play Orks. All the cool kids are doing it.

Thanks for your comments guys. Much appreciated.

Looted Wagon is GREAT! What did you use for the front fenders? The pieces that bend over the front of each side.

Just GREAT, I have a Rhino chassis sitting in my bits box just waiting for Lootification and now I'm all inspired with the spirit of Gork!

Thanks!

The looted wagon is excellently done, one of the better ones i've seen in a while. There's just enough Imperial left in thee to know where it's come from, and the approprite amount of Ork repairs to distinguish it amongst it's peers. There's a lot of looted vehicles out there that just aren't Orky enough, since the best I can see them getting on the Battlefield (especially for Rhino varients) are scraps. No self respecting marine would leave a venerable tank/transport in the field if it were normally repairable.

As for the World Eaters, I really do like the design you thrown into them, the only caution I would suggest is that some opponents might not 'get it.' The headpieces are fairly iconic and having them missing, while the models look great, detract from the instant "Oooo look! World Eaters."

Don't be so humble sir, you have some good skill in what you love to do, and no one's going to tell you to stop posting your progress, mostly people will just ask you to work faster and post more updates.
