Hi folks, hopefully you can help me with a question that's been puzzling me. I have a query about the new Tactical Objectives for Warhammer 40 000. On the D66 chart for them (and also on the tactical Objective cards themselves) each of the objectives are subdivided under different types e.g. Capture and Control, Take and Hold, Purge, etc. My question is, what exactly do those types mean? I can't find an explanation for them in the rulebook.
Many thanks in anticipation of a reply,

Capture & Control
Storm & Defend
Take & Hold
They are all the same, I am not aware of any difference in just the 'Type:' (the Italicized text is even identical). I think it was just to have 3 different names to help ensure you don't draw/roll the same one twice.
So you know 'I drew Secure Objective 1: Capture & Control once already'.

Also, under certain circumstances you'll ignore, replace or count double a given set of objectives. All the race-specific objectives replace the Capture & Control objectives, and there's that one mission in White Dwarf Weekly #32 where you choose one set as your Tactical Priority.
I think we will see more done with them in the future.

I got the feeling too that was the intention somehow. Besides that with 7th being a toolbox you could even assign your own reasons for them.
