A bit of fun, the Rapid Deployment Paint Station.

Its not meant to be serious, but it is how I operate currently and I am sure others do to - you know who you are?!

When I paint on the commuter train, I use two stack able containers. (similar to these but a little smaller, http://www.homedepot.com/p/Sterilite-Stack-and-Carry-2-Layer-Organizer-14228604/204723177) One for the models and one for paints. The one for models has a divider so as I clean bits or paint them a color, I put them on one side. The other container has the paints, brushes and a small container of water. I stack the containers to act as a table in my lap and then get to work!

I have a Wallace and Gromit biscuit tin (http://freemans.servondevelopment.co.uk/uploads/products/Wallace%20andGromit%20Assortment%20tin.jpg) with all my paints, brushes, pencils, bandage for camo netting and weathering powders. Then I have a small tupperware with some brown baking paper, bubble wrap and my models in it. Means I just need tissue paper and a cup of water to get painting.

I may have to employ a similar setup to aid in my painting
