Flames of War Vassal?

Does anyone know of a flames of war vassal engine? I love the ability to play 40k while im away at college, and I am interested in picking up flames of war. The problem is I am away from my local gaming store and playing with the actual models is impossible. I would love to see if its a game for me without wasting tons of money before i get to play.

Same goes for a Lord of the Rings vassal. I have not been able to find one.

I know there was a guy who did at least a mini mock up of it. Sadly, he hasn't given an update on the module for a while, so if you give him a poke, he might be inclined to share what's going on.
