Not much to see to be honest, but confirmation it's a full new army for the Heresy era.


If you read this bulletin two weeks ago, you’ll know that Forge World will be unveiling an awesome new army, the Solar Auxilia, at Warhammer Fest. I managed to capture a picture of one of the Solar Auxilia’s vehicles just for you

Dunno if they have rules at present, or if those are forthcoming (only got Book One myself).

Pre-Heresy Ultramar Defence Auxillia for me then.... :)

No rules for these as yet AFAIK, but they should be in Book 4 I believe.

I must admit that's not a great photo, they really are lovely models.

And the tanks and transports are very nice too.

If I do them, they'll be auxiliary to a Mechanicus force.

Orange Jump suits, brass metals - then they'll look like EVA suits from Colonial Marines by Dark Horse comics.

If it weren't for the price, they'd make great Conscripts. They've got a slightly scrappy look to them. A lot like industrial EVA engineers that have repurposed a welding tool into a weapon.

Don't get me started on that big tank though, the wanting is incredible.

Praise be that 30K will eventually cease to be a Game Of 3+ Saves. Can only hope for some Ullanor Ork love, and maybe other notable Xenos, (though FW have said those are incredibly unlikely.)

I suspect the SA are the beginning of testing those waters. They're not really mentioned in the books that I've read (I'm a bit behind. Stuck on Mark of Calth!) so don't have the cult following the Legions do (PUN!).

As FW say at every damn event there will be no Xenos in the Heresy. Not going to happen.

As for the SA we saw lots of them at the open days and weekender

They will be next book. And we will see Prospero Spire Guard and Calth PDF and Chaos Cultists in the future as well

Also a guy can dream DrLove. I have my Y'havra Battlesuit to tide over my FW Xeno needs for a while anyway.
