So im thinking about building my 3rd 30k army. With all the awesome robots coming out its time to do a mech army. I'm thinking :
Archmagos Inar Satarael
New mechanicus knight
2 thanatar siege-automata
6 castellax
9 Thallax cohort

I will be playing against 40k and 30k armies. It's a small army with only 19 models. But it has around 63 wounds that are all high toughtness. Any feedback would be appreciated.

A high wound, high toughness army... with the critical weakness of your Archmagos. He's got to stay close to ALL those Robots, because otherwise the whole army will fall apart as their programmed behaviour takes over. All I would do is ignore everything except him; he's not in a transport, he's not in an Abeyant, he's not got Eternal Warrior, he's not great in assault... He is the sandy foundation you have built the fortress of your army upon. A single Vindicare Assassin would be the tide coming in.

Remember, the AdMech are a lot like 'Nids; you need redundancies in what is essentially your Synaptic Web to make Robots work.

I would try to make sure I had one unit with a Cortex Controller per Robot unit, plus one for the army. I'd also consider making one of the Castellax a Paragon of Steel just in case all my Cortex Controllers get tapped; that way, at least one of my Robots can continue to wreck face, Malifica or not.

So how would you recommend getting more cortex controllers? Magos dominus?
