Best 40k model?

Hi all,

This has probably already been done as a thread but just browsing on the GW website (as you do on a Saturday night, God what a geek I am) and I really think the Tyrannic Wars Vets are just cool. And this got me thinking, what would be your favorite, coolest figurine of the 40k range?

FW or "regular" doesn't matter nor do points, just pure "coolness" factor!

Gideon Lorr. No question in my mind. Always has been my favorite. Elysian infantry and DKK Engineers are a close second.

Though I will admit, I am growing ever fonder of the FW XV9 Hazard. Don't even play Tau and I am considering a purchase.

The new Tyranid Mawloc is pretty fresh in my mind as being quite awesome, so for the time being, I'm gonna settle with that. The Necron Lord with Res Orb (but holding the Warscythe horizontally instead of vertically) is also quite nice.

Agree with the Sternguard Vets and Chappy Termy without a doubt!

how come no-one has said that their choice is a cool Ork model...

I also think the GK are awsome (not so much the Termies) and also the Inquisitor Lord with bolter (the one in red on the GW website).

There's just too much to choose from! :eek:

I quite like the very vertical Imperial Guard officer, the one holding his sword in front of him in salute.

Saint Celestine is also a very nice sculpt. I've been tempted to take the model and do a bit of conversion, definitely a head swap, and turn it into a chaos sorcerer. The trick being to get it looking like something unique instead of 'corrupted saint' while still keeping that hovering sort of aesthetic that appealed to me in the first place.

Hard to say really. If I had to choose I'd probably pick my converted assault sarge. He has pre-heresy lightning claws :D

Hmm... tough one. For me it's probably the Emperor's Champion though. It's the 'destined to lead an army' look that gets me. I don't even play BT but I want one to lead my Honour Guard.

I like the Sister Superior Seraphim holding her power sword aloft and carrying a plasma pistol as she leaps up to ride the wind... It's my favorite Sister of Battle so I am making her my canoness instead of using the regular model for that.

;) Yes I really like this model too. I converted her to have an Inferno pistol instead of Plasma.

I also really like the SM model attached. I use it for my B/Templar Marshall. Its modelled on the figure with the Power Axe from the BT pic on the old 40K Armies Box set.:)

Other models that appeal are the Grey Knights & the FW Mk1V Dreds.
