SW Wolfkin rule

Ok, so obviously thunderwolf cavalry have the wolfkin special rule, and the SW FAQ clarifies that Canis Wolfborn has it as well. My question is: does a Wolf Lord or any HQ that takes a thunderwolf mount as wargear also gain the Wolfkin special rule? I would think that if Canis and all thunderwolf cavalry have it then a Wolf Lord riding a thunderwolf would as well...

No, he doesn't. But you can always have him buff wolves in a different way through Saga of the Wolfkin.

Yes that's what I thought, it's just that the wording in the FAQ is a bit shady...it doesn't actually SAY Canis has the Wolfkin rule, just that Fenrisian wolves within 12 inches of him can re-roll morale tests as well because "he's even more inspiring a presence than your average thunderwolf rider." Seems to me like a Wolf Lord should also fall into the category of "more inspiring than your average thunderwolf rider." I will have to be satisfied with Saga of the Wolfkin I suppose =)
