So, brand new to Flames of War and played one game so far. Love it and have thrown a list together; mainly based off of what models I have but what I feel is a good base. Excuse me for any problems or confusion with the list.

Grenadierkompanie HQ
Anti-tank Section/Sniper Team/2iC Panzerfaust
130 pts.

Grenadier Platoon
3 Grenadier Squads/Command Panzerfaust
165 pts.

Grenadier Platoon
3 Grenadier Squads/Command Panzerfaust
165 pts.

Grenadier Machine-Gun Platoon
2 Machine-Gun Sections
135 pts.

StuG Platoon
3 StuG G/1 Replaced with StuH42/Tank Escorts
330 pts.

Grenadier Anti-Tank Gun Platoon
3 7.62cm PaK 36(r)
125 pts.

Grenadier Scout Platoon
2 Scout Squads
115 pts.

Total 1165 pts., so far.

Looking to add 2 8.8cm FlaK36 with extra crew, 2 Tigers, and a Pioneer Platoon with Flame Throwers to round out to 2K. What do you guys think?

It really depends what the scene is like you are playing in, amongst the players in my group you'd be the only Infantry player facing mostly tank lists every week so it probably would get samey quite quickly, but if you are in a more mixed group it may well work.

Having said that I can't give you much specific advise as the nearest I've seen to an infantry list was when I ran my Germans as Gepanzert Grenadiers, but I would suggest taking a look to see if you can squeeze some artillery into your list as you might find yourself having to dig in and defend quite often.

I'm not really a fan of the StuH upgrade in StuG platoons even in tank companies and to be honest I'm not sure you have the anti-tank to be able to spare the shot.

If you don't go for artillery (or Air) you will certainly want to pick up the 88s or Tigers as at the moment there are a few tanks out there you can't scratch from the front.

I don't tend to play Germans all that often, but the list you have is pretty well rounded. The only thing I'd be concerned with is the Pak36's. By late war they are relatively outclassed by most heavy tanks out there so if you are going to see some of the big guys you would be better served with Pak40's I think. 88's are good as you build the army, but they will pretty much end up being target #1 because they can kill any tank in the game pretty easily.

Also, you don't have much in the way of artillery which is very useful, especially the ability to lay down smoke and/or pin units relatively easily. The StuH can smoke ind. targets, but otherwise you don't have any way to utilize that strategy. I personally would look to add in a unit of mortars and/or Nebelwerfers eventually for these two tactical options.

Anyway, JMO...
