Venomtrope cover trouble.

i was wondering what it the most effective way to kill a trio of venomtropes with the imperial guard given my first idea is to go for an instant kill with manticore storm eagle rockets etc. can a cover save something from instant death if it does not have an inv save?

Instand death has no effect on what saves you can take. It only means a ohko and that you can't take fnp.

Just pick them out with weight of fire. It's only six wounds with a 3+ save. Plus, don't IG have an Ignores Cover order?

What DarkLink said, simply give the order to ignore cover to a unit of lascannons and you can kill all 3 in a single turn.
