The Gal Vorbak is built upon the remnants of the Serrated Sun Chapter of the Word Bearers Legion, the conquerors of the primitive world of Cadia who looked into the depths of the Eye of Terror itself and in doing so were changed for all time. Their psyches infiltrated by creatures from the darkness of the Æther, the survivors are named the Gal Vorbak, or “Blessed Sons” in the language of Colchis, and are possessed of strengths and abilities far above those of other Astartes.

It is said that each of the Gal Vorbak was host to some form of Warp entity, itself subservient to the greater scheme plotted between Warmaster Horus and the nightmare powers beyond. In battle, this being comes to dominate the mind and body of the warrior. His already mighty form swells as hands turn into rending talons and jaws into slavering, fang-filled maws twisted beyond reason and reality. At Isstvan V, the Word Bearers’ pact with the horrors beyond was sealed in a great ritual of carnage and betrayal.

A complete resin kit, designed by Steve Whitehead, containing five multi-part models. This kit is available to pre-order now and will be despatched from Friday 15th August.

this what all possessed models should look like.

I'm liking how there's hints as to what God's minion is possessing each one, but without making them look like a hodgepodge unit.

If I ever run Possessed, that's what I'll have to use. Those are much better than any other Possessed models they've done.

First time I've seen "posessed" that actually look good, always felt previous depictions looked far too cartoon-villain to me, but Forge world absolutely nail the look perfectly!

Amen to that. I'm impressed by how much bigger than regular Marines they are!

Forgeworld continue their impressive run of taking GW's cool concepts but naff models and actually making them good.

yes they look pretty good, but hey, why are they on 40 mm bases - only to model them bigger and make the price higer? They are far too expensive. Even for FW. I would go with plastic possessed.

Its 42 bucks extra. You can't tell me the Forge World Gal Vorbak make the GW possessed look just plain sad.

It's a shame they are so much bigger! Would love to use these guys for bits to make some really awesome chosen/champions

I'm seriously considering a Possessed-themed CSM force now, using them as troops thanks to the Crimson Slaughter 'dex. Would anyone be opposed to a player using the Gal Vorbak unit rules in regular 40k for the unit? (They'd be their own unit, they're huge compared to marines or regular possessed). :P

If running them as their own unit doesn't work, they might go well as squad Champions and/or Chaos Lord.

As for them being on 40mm bases, I saw that their rules give them Bulky and 2W each, so it'd make sense they'd be on bigger bases.

Those are beautiful.

something close to 200 quid for a full squad? Damn son.

I really hope GW takes some strong hints from these and redoes the possessed sometime in the next few years.
