I like making my own colour schemes, however, I suck at coming up with them. So here's my current idea for my GKs

The halberd doesn't look that cartoony in person.

I tried dark red instead of the bright red and it was too dark for me.

I'm not too attached to the red at all, any other suggestions would be great!

Dark blue instead or red? you could make the handle of the halberd a dark steel tone

Good idea, but I like the red better. Maybe a dark red for the halberd? Hmm.

The red, as a whole, is a little garish. Painting the halberd's haft black or grey would help tone it down.

Pick out some of the details. Paint the undersuit black, and pick out the skulls and runes in something that contrasts with the armor. Silver would probably work.

Edit: oh, hey, there you go. Yeah, the black looks better. Lots of bright red with lots of brownish gold just blends together, the black and blue/green contrast to make it pop.

That was dark blue, not black. I'm not too happy with it unfortunately. There's too much contrast. So maybe I'll try purple? I might give the red another go, but I'll do dark and then highlight the edges. My silver dried out so I'll have to get another.

I understand you don't like the dark blue, but that red is retina-burning bright. The all metallic model with such bright trim and detail colors is too much visually. Doing a dark gray or keeping the blue would go a long ways to helping the mini look good.

If you are dead set on bright red then I would suggest limiting the use of red to small bits and details.

Well, I got a color scheme I like. I'm keeping in with the hot colours to go with the purge them with fire mindset of the Gray knights. I like it a lot better then the usual gray. I still need to wash the dreadnought and the storm raven. Plus detailing and touching up places. Thoughts?
