Hello again,

When itīs about that time to throw some dice, whatīs the favorite drink you "roll" with?

a) Water
b) Cola
c) Diet Cola
d) Energy drink
e) Beer
f) Something else, what?

On basic games, for my part, itīs c+d and when itīs time to REALLY complain about the Necron -rules or the way Blood Angels -player makes the 5+ FNPīs, itīs the BEERHAMMER time! :D

Your choice?

- Beer Vyper (bored, a free friday and everybodyīs on a holiday = no game, painting a fence/ruin -piece and having a beer)

Couple of cans of Monster for me, it's not a game of 40k unless I'm jacked up on caffeine.

Ice tea with lemon. I'm not much of a soda drinker and since I'm usually driving to/from the FLGS to play booze is a definite no-no.

Coffee in the mornings, then I alternate water, then switch to rootbeer. I save the tea, Earl Grey, HOT! for when Star Trek comes on at night after the game.

For a proper pre-gym buzz I used to use a supplement called Jack3d, used to get my whole body shaking with energy. But then it started killing people :o

I love the iced tea stuff. It's not fizzy so I don't spend half the game burping out special rules :D

Anything with caffeine, as it helps me stay awake while my friend takes his time trying to figure out what he is going to do, only to do that 30 minutes later. When I play with one friend there is no liquor allowed, something about heated discussions of how he thinks the rules are, and not how they actually are.

The tears of 5th Edition Grey Knight players. :D

At the game store, coffee or plain water.
At home or a friends house, cheap scotch (J&B, Johnny Red, that sort of stuff) on the rocks with a water chaser.

When at home Diet Mtn Dew, I has a problem;); when at my FLGS it is usually Diet Coke, the owner doesn't carry my usual poison. We have tried and tried to convince him to let us have a Beer and chips night but he doesn't want to run into issues with WotC as he has a huge Magic crowd.

Beer. (or more in ork parlance, Squig Brew!)

That's why I run my 40K tournaments in bars ;)

Dr Pepper & Tea for energy boosts at tournaments
Water to stay hydrated

No alcohol as I have zero tolerance and wouldn't even be able to hit the table with the dice. :)

My FLGS only stocks fizzy drinks, so I've been actively eroding my teeth with Lilt and Coca Cola lately.

When I was younger it was beer. Games were all about excitement and I guess beer added to that.

Nowadays Tea and water. Games are exciting, but perhaps much calmer, more relaxed and water and tea I guess add to that.
Also my opponents are now much better/more strategic and it takes some serious thinking to win.

The beer days generally accompanied a tooled up hq/deathstar taking on my opponents tooled up hq/deathstar and the beer/dice relationship is just great :)

I gamed at a rugby club so beer jugs and shots was the standard for the evening. It only got out of hand once when a lad came back from Britain with a Bugmans Bar Game. My favorite memory was when a group of us rocked on to the single guy's place where the beverages included G&T with a slice of cucumber and a great little Sth Australian Shiraz.

I now question that capacity for space marines to deal with toxins. A ten man squad of storm guardians held up a squad of dark angle termies for 5 turns. It was a swing and a miss all the time. Obviously no appreciation for red wine.

There's water in tears and in beer! Stay hydrated by smiting your foes and celebrating your victories!

And if I ever play Space Wolves (unlikely, too much painting!), Mead.

Lovely, lovely Mead. A proper warriors drink!

Neuro Sonic, gives me a bit of an alertness boost without that caffeine edge to it and it tastes awesome. It's kinda become a habit for any game I expect to be competitive to grab one at the 7/11 above my FLGS

Well, if I'm at the shop or a tourney, water is pretty much where it's at.

For home games, there's usually some good craft beer involved and again, lots of water.

Staying properly hydrated tends to make the game more enjoyable.
