I thought I'd start a thread showing what I'm currently working on. I've just finished my first Imperial Knight and plan to do more. I'm also starting a Daemons army for 40k to get back into playing after a break due to adding more offspring to my collection.
Here's some pics of the Knight in question. Its portraying an Adeptus Mechanicus newbie with little heraldry and kill markings. Its on eBay atm (171377497581) but I've been extremely tempted to keep it. I painted it up as an experiment to try and employ some scale modelling techniques I'd like to use on a big 40k mini. I've done some Rhinos etc in the past this way but the extra metallic surfaces looked good for some Alclad 2.
I used AK Interactive Red Primer set airbrush paint for the armour zenithal highlighting and also used their weather products which I find very easy to use. I used the typical GW and P3 paints also as well as a healthy dose of Alclad 2 Steel for the metallic. I used GW metallics for the copper armour edging.
