Ex: When I think of a Pyrovore I think of a Boomer from Left 4 Dead. It has a short ranged spray attack and when killed ( IIRC ) it explodes just like a Boomer.

What units make you think of something different?

Note: Rule wise and aesthetically

For me it Wyches while they don't kill tons of units in a single turn they are a excellent tarpit and people get quite pissed trying to kill them.

A few of the Inquisitor models remind me of the main characters from Firefly.

IG Veterans. I think of units that can take on any other squad and give them a good run. Not end up running away.

At least no one's said "Marbo reminds me of Rambo" yet.

The Tyranids are so totally copied from the Zerg.

I wish Eldar were as cool as Protoss, though.

in fact it is just the opposite way: the zerg were copied from the tyranids.

The problem is, everyone rips off someone else, especially in sci-fi/fantasy.

As for the original topic... poo, can't think of any.

Heh, sarcasm is hard to convey over text. I was hoping the italics would do it ;)

almost any tyranid monstrous creature. the majority of them remind me of the bad-guys in Dark Crystal. you know, the ones that are giant insects, black carapace, and shoddy legs.

You want to take that to a UM forum, the one on Bolter and Chainsword would do. :D

YES! THE GARTHIM! I was thinking the same thing. You're awesome.

Flayed Ones have always reminded me of the chemical waste melted zombie in the basement of the warehouse in Return of the Living Dead.

One of the greatest Zombie film scenes ever.

Kid runs down steps and gets killed. Zombie starts to eat his head.
"Brains!"
Kid's friend throws paint can to distract zombie. Zombie looks up.
Gets excited zombie look on face.
"MORE BRAINS!"

Ooh, ****! I found it!
