Nid Pod WIP

Here's a pic of my Nid pod.

It's still a work in progress and hasn't been painted yet.

Currently I'm making tentacles to glue to the base and look like they are bursting out of the ground.

C&C welcomed.

I know it's a little late, but consider this before you make any more pods that size: tactically, a pod that big is limited on where it can come down. If it was on a 60mm base (or roughly equivalent size) it could fit into smaller openings in between enemy units/terrain.

Sorry to be a downer. Your pod really is cool looking!

Looks great, even if it is a bit big it actually looks like it can hold a fex.

awesome idea with the leaves, really give it a veiny exterior, it's gonna look great plonking that on the table. i'm trying to think up some ideas for nid pods myself.

Hey thanks for the C&C everyone!

@Ferro: You're absolutely right, I got to try it out last Saturday in a game, and while I love the fact that it's probably very close to scale, it's also HUGE on the table and not only does a great job of blocking LOS, it also does a great job of taking up tons of table space!

So I've begun looking for a way to clone it and make it just a bit smaller at the same time.

Will definitely post updates as I complete this.
