Found this Phantom Titan the other day...

It blew me away. One of the best paint jobs I've seen.

It's kinda gaudy to me. It's clearly done by a very skilled artist, but I think there's just way too much going on, especially color-wise.

Maybe it's just me, though.

I like the green one, though. That's nifty and not too overdone.

It is loud and flashy (admittedly probably TOO loud and flashy) but at least it's for the Eldar ;-)

It's the fault of miniature painters; once they have access to a 'canvas' that large, they have to fill it in with detail, even to a fault.

That said there is no doubting this painters level of talent. Some beautiful stuff going on here!

I agree with Xeohelios; while it's technically a well executed paintjob, the model as a whole looks like a piece of crap. Well painted, but still a rubbish paint-job.
