That's really cool, great twist on the fast attack choice. Will probably look good with some biker rough riders around it

This sir, is damn nifty. I thoroughly enjoy your one-offs.

How do you handle close combat? I ask because I built two Hotchkiss H35/39 in the same vein...

...but haven't been fully satisfied with any rules variants we've knocked around. Your input would be appreciated.

Edit: in retrospect, likely a bit rude to drop my own pix in your thread. Not intentionally so. Wanted to relay that I was "in the same boat", so to speak.

Absolutely. Built them specifically to be Sentinel analogs. The Storm bolter on the Hotchkiss shown is just for show.

Have a Kfz.222 (wheeled scout car) with a 40K autocannon as well.

This one's built to pull double duty as either an autocannon Sentinel (with non-functioning Heavy Bolter, in that case) or a Salamander Scout.

Somehow the original post above ended up before your question. Been some high weirdness to the forums today.

Edit: but now it's fixed. Like I said... odd.

Anyhow: you may be right. I may be over thinking the whole thing. Might be better to not try and kludge a rule to allow CC and just view them as vehicles. Thanks for the input.

In truth, the sentinel only has a pair of legs, it's not like it's got arms like a dreadnought so I figure I'll just run the over - lol

In truth, there's three guys, so they could easily pull las pistols etc. I don't think it'll be a problem. Out of interest, are you treating that as a sentinel?

hey, just thought i'd say, if you're stuck for rules, that would make a pretty nifty Salamander with armoured crew compartment, its got the autocannon, just needs a heavy bolter or flamer. if you dont have the rules, check out here (http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/downloads40k.htm) and download the "Imperial Armour Vol 1 rules update

the salamander entry is in there. all free.

to colcorbane, awesome model mate, i love halftrack stand ins, sometimes the leggy sentinal just doesnt fit in.

EDIT: apologies Akkon i should really read all posts before posting...
