how do I make a signature and make my profile picture appear in my posts?

The profile pic is done in the control panel, and you gain access to sigs after 10 posts (to keep out those nasty spammers).

Make sure that you're uploading a pic into the proper place. The sig is there. I'll look at the profile to see about the pic.

**Yep. You have to upload a pic into the avatar slot, not the profile pic. There are two different pics that are available. The avatar is smaller in size.
