Well i knew the Sherman was a bad design but....Damn the fact allied troops where driving lighters is pretty bad...... (Even the Soviet tanks where safer!)

Design flaws don't matter so much when you can produce thousands and make sure they're always armed, maintained and fuelled up.

The field additions to those things to compensate for the flaws (such as welding extra plates over the fuel tanks) just resulted in more casualties as it gave the german gunners places to aim for
