New FAQ:

The third sentence of the Runic Weapons rule should be replaced with the following: "Furthermore, a model with a Runic Weapon adds 1 to Deny the Witch rolls."

Codex: Space Wolves Runic Weapon third sentence pg 36: "A Runic Weapon is a Force weapon."

So as you can see, he won't be insta-gibbing MCs anymore, but still a potent psyker defense!
