They suggested book 4 will imclude units from other forces that arent marines. So they say "Solar Auxillia" so maybe Imperial Army? I only got a quick photo between seminars will ask more later.This afternoon includes a detailed look at Extermination, amd them all the mew FW models

I love that Magos, so far the Magos models have been the best parts of the mechanicum. Hope more of that weirdnessleaks into troop models. Would love to see closeups of the Imperial Army if anyone gets a chance.

Warhammer Forge.. on hold till next year unfortunatly. But not scrapped as some rumours suggested

I like Mortarian and the Gal Vorbak looks cool - first possesed I've actually liked the look of.

Prospero is chronologically below Istavan
FW would love to do BFG again...but its a long way off and definently an if
Dont expect Skitari anytime soon
Vulkan is 2 - 3 months away
Expecting Conquest by the end of this year, but likely not available at UK GD
The new transport and basalisk are for the Imperial army Solar Auxillary.
Expect other auxillary forces with future books, like Spire Guard for Prospero and Calth Defence (and Word Bearers cultists) for Calth

Tomorrow starts with a big reveal of HH4: Conquest. Alao should be some more new models to photo

I guess the reprint IA will be the Anphelion project for the new Nid dex. And the new one a redux of the Chaos war machines and lost and damned army list.

The Gal Vorbak are awesome. Should be here in the flesh tomorrow to see. They got a bigger cheer than Vulkan did.

mortarions arms look poo. model is ok, but is he wind surfing? i know he is super human but how can he swing a scythe with locked elbows?

It has more Imperial Fists in it (and Salamanders too) no disappointment here! Plus more AdMech and non-Marines for the ones who moan about there being too much focus on Marines.

They actually said this will be the least Mariney book of the entire series. They will be there, but wont get much new. Instead it will be Imp Army, Mechanicus and Knights taking centre stage

Thank you for your email. You'll note that we have mentioned the Imperial Army several times in our Horus Heresy books. Whilst they have been mentioned in the background we have not yet produced any rules for them. We tend not to design models until we have already produced rules. We may consider looking at the Imperial Army in the future.

They have mentioned today they are currently in the middle of playtesting. So there are rules in progress. And youll get them before the end of the year

They had to establish the background of the Great Crusade first. I personally would have enjoyed it if they'd started with the Emperor's struggle during the Unification Wars -- but instead we've received only a few flashbacks here and there to tell that story. Instead we began with the most important and pivotal character of the entire story: Horus. His rise and fall is what the story is all about and then is a catalyst for a whole host of stories; which is why it has taken so long really.

It did. See: "Horus Rising," "False Gods," and "Galaxy in Flames."

Those three books tell us how things began and their crescendo to Horus' conversion to Chaos. But that's not the *end*. If anything, it was the First Act of the grander play being shown.

I went last year. They were asked repeatedly if the rules worked with Xenos for a grand crusade. They repeatedly said that although you could they were never going to include Xenos in the Heresy books.

Guess what they only got asked it once this year and the amswer hasnt changed.

Prospero is late because they need to do right by the four force. All the forces in the book are very unique with real challenges in rules and models.

Again...GW stated for years they would (and I quote) "never, ever" make rules/models for the Heresy...here we are 2 years in with 5 released Primarchs and 2 more shown with rules for 12 of the 18 Legions. Never is a word GW/FW doesn't not know.

read what information? you don't need to have heard or read anything, it is perfectly straight forward. GW have not kept Forge world in the dark about seventh edition, they will have known what is coming for months if not a year. Space wolves and Thousand Sons are both very different to other legions, that is self evident. Sisters of Silence and Custodes are also a new element. it is obvious that these things will take time, and need care.

They're parts of the same company, hence a single set of financial reports.

Hell yeah FW. Keep pushing back that VIth Legion release. First, it was the fourth book scheduled for this fall. Then it was next year. Now its as many as two or three years away?

They're just now releasing models for people using Book One.

The quality of their products really make you forget just how bush league FW is.

When video games or films are delayed who gets blamed? Who makes excuses? Pretty sure its usually not the consumers.

Is it really necessary to push it back years? No. They're clearly stuck and someone decided they'd make more money if they tossed it aside in favor of cashing in on the more vanilla(cheapest/quickest to development) legions.

Is that their right as a company? Sure. Its also most assuredly their fault. Leaving me open to criticize. I apologize if that's a problem for you.

lol, of course, how dare they not adhere to your every whim. it will hardly be 'one of the last' heresy books. delayed suggests they had firm plans rather than merely trying to be helpful. it is because of things like this that Raging Heroes refuse to give a timetable for their kickstarter releases for example, because of unfair complaints. saying it is their fault suggests that they somehow owe you something, and you have a right to the product. you don't. they will release it when they are ready to release it. nobody gets blamed here because there is no blame. they have done nothing wrong. there is no 'clearly stuck' here, or making more money, or 'tossing aside' either, that is just wild, unfounded speculation.

I'm going off the last information given during UKGD and last years Weekender. Last year they said everything was pretty much ready for book 4 (at that time Prospro) they where just finishing up models and editing...read the leak thread from last year...it's there.

Then at UKGD they said Prospro was pushed back to "get it right"...this was before any solid rumors of 7th (which I'm sure they did knew about at that time). Seeing as TSons are the heaviest psyker Legion and the new psyker phase, we can use common sense that 7th is the reason Prospro was pushed and this filler book was introduced...considering we have not heard anything about this filler book up till now (maybe some murmurs at UKGD).

Im not seeing how anyone could believe 7th is not affecting the 30k line, considering the games are the same. Do you think that 30k will stay 6th rules? I'm not sure where you would even begin to believe this is even an option.

Edit: I'm not arguing that they shouldn't have pushed Prospro back, just the reason. FW often gives vague responses to questions so as not to reveal something they are not allowed to give out. It is very hard to answer questions about things when you know a good portion of the future plans but cannot speak on it just in case things change. I love that FW puts quality above all else.

That is my opinion also. Get the Istvaans out of the way, do Prospero and Calth, do Terra, then fill in the rest.

If the choice is between releasing a book that'll have to have a huge errata written fro it around the time of release or one that's done properly, you'd hope people would want the latter. A lot happens at Prospero, and frankly they're already trailing behind getting stuff out for the current books. Add to that the list of non-HH products they're doing, erratas and updates for all of their old books, and you get a good picture of why they've had to delay Prospero.

Alan Bligh said the new edition doesnt actually change very much with the Heresy rule set.

And as all the armies present are based on the Legion list in Book 1, theres no real advantages for anyone. Its actually very balenced

And to answer the question...if 7th made the crusade list un-useable it would also make the 40k codexes un-useable also.
