I told them i used none, but nobody believes me... :'(

Well, its not 100% true ::). i have templates, and i looked at them at the beginning, but i quickly threw them back as they only made me being confused.

Anyway, if u want them, i have megauploaded every template i have been collecting during some time. I recommend to build a previous paper model before cutting a piece of cardboard, and i suggest you think carefully what thickness are you going to use, kind of glue, the main body...

Remember, there are only two reasons to build yourself instead of buying. the first one is cause is cheaper, and the second one, cause you can do it, and its funny! believe me, im no kind of genius at all, and i got some very big models in a pair of months. you can too! ^^ (but plz, if u are using this templates share with us pics of the process!) ^^

What thickness of cardboard did you use for the thunderhawk? Also, did you use cardboard for the thunderhawk cockpit?

I think I want to build one. I REALLY want one :)

You should be able to go to an art store (any college campus should have a section for architecture students) and find large sheets of cardboard. Ideal thickness is about that of the cardboard cover of a spiral bound notebook.

Use a straight edge to lay out a pattern, then cut it out, tape it together and use some white glue, and you've got whatever you want. I've scratch-built a warhound, Imperitor titan and a thunderhawk.

Once you get used to how you lay out the patterns for cutting them out, you can build pretty much anything with angular surfaces. Which is almost everything but eldar and 'nidz.

I've actually had a lot of luck just using the cardboard from frozen pizza and cereal boxes. Since most models involve some layering, it ends up being remarkably solid.
