The Horus Heresy Legiones Astartes: Crusade Army List is a 96 page hard back containing the complete profiles, special rules and wargear, compiled and updated, for the core Legiones Astartes Legion Crusade Army List for Warhammer 40,000 and the Battles in the Age of Darkness gaming expansion. It can also be used as a basis to build a Great crusade army list for any of the Space Marine Legions.

You see, now that's how you do it. :)

Very happy to see this, I have the full Heresy books already but will definitely be getting these too, as it makes life a lot easier.

Well done FW.

I'm still getting Vol II and III, on account I have more money than sense (and when you consider how little money I have....) and FW know I am their female canine.

Yep, FW bought my soul a while ago... :)

But I think they are doing a bang up job with the Heresy stuff.

Shame it's sidelined everything else though....poor Warhammer Forge.

Mr Mystery

Or possibly a Bovine.

I mean, if you were a Bovine gamer, I'd imagine leather bound books being a bit worrying.

Veggie. And either way, looks like a decent deal - same price as a codex. The temptation is increasing.

ahh, hence the adversion to leather bound books....

that makes handling antique books a bit of a problem as well I'd imagine....

Of which I am sure in 100 years time these beauties will be considered as.....

Ok so you are Vegan and it might be Leatherbound... umnh so? If I remember correctly Vegans are from Planet Vega (part of the Tau Empire)... and cannot eat meat... that's cool but ummmh ? You were not planning on eating the book were you?... Do you use Citadel Paints? Most red pigment is animal based (insect shells).

I'm not "vegan" but I try to make an effort to avoid animal products as much as I possibly can, if I can go without I will do - I can only follow my personal feelings on things. I'm not sure why anyone cares about my life choices though? I certainly don't care about anyone elses here (even if they are completely opposite of mine! each to their own I say!) and I am happy that FW have provided me with a choice - I didn't expect that at all.

I'm also a vegetarian who avoids leather. But since they usually advertise leather bound as one of the perks of the Horus Heresy books, and these lack that disclaimer, I think its save to say these are standard hardcovers.

I agree, it's about time that FW started putting out their books in EBook formats, espcially since GW and BL do so already (BL being the first of course)

Where are you seeing that?

look at the picture carefully, it has the same style of binding as a high quaility (or antique) hardback book, and the texture looks a lot like mottled leather to me.

Of course you can get faux leather which is a synthtic material styled and texured to match real leather, but I guess we will just have to wait and see.
