I trashed my $15-ish GF9 flush cutters on pinning rod. I bought a replacement from Harbor Freight for around $5 The lack of cutoff flinging with the GW tool is cool though. And now I use my Leatherman when I need to clip pinning wires.

I like the new clippers but the price is very steep and my last set of GW clippers are still going strong.

On the new set however I cannot work outwhere the spring is located. It can't be inside the clippers near the join as there doesn't seem room, but there is definately a method of them returning back after the clip.
