I have just seen elsewhere a petition against Royal Mail restricting the posting of acrylic paints. I have not heard it here so am surprised. I presume it is pukka so I have signed at link, it only needs another 300 and seems legit so have a think if it will disrupt your hobby.

The details of the policy are here: http://www.royalmail.com/business/help-and-support/tell-me-about-restricted-goods

The items must be securely closed and placed in a leak-proof liner, such as a sealed polythene bag, so that any inadvertent leakage is contained within the outer packaging. Surround with absorbent material such as newspaper and sufficient cushioning material to protect each item from damage. Volume per item should not exceed 150ml. No more than four items can be sent in any one package. The sender’s name and return address must be clearly visible on the outer packaging.

Mmm. The site I found this on talked about how you can send other goods that if spilt would damage others post - such as strong alcohol etc. Seems like 'Elf 'n Safety gone mad.

I know they now ask you exactly what you are posting and have a list of stuff you can't. Some obvious ones like explosives and fire and such like, but some pretty stupid ones as well.
