ChapterHouse Stormraven extension

I put together a StormRaven over the weekend using the Chapterhouse extension kit. It actually looks to be about the right size to carry troops.

I like it so much I ordered the Chapterhouse magnetized upper turret kit designed just for it.

The Cockpit cover, pilot, engines and weapons are not glued in place so that they can be painted separately.

So that's what it looks like with just the kit added and no other modifications. Nice. Think I'll have to grab one of those kits for myself when I get around to adding a Stormraven to my force.

It makes the Stormraven size look "right" compared to other models on the table. No more flying trash dumpster!

Any chance for some profile pics, and a pic of the back? I'm really interested in the kit!

I'll try to remember to take a few tonight - it might get hit with primer before the photos.

The profile of the back has not changed at all - they just moved it back 3-4 inches; same slope, same back wall and same ramp. You get new sides, new top and bottom panels to extend everything. Even the tail feathers fit in the same notch from GW. You build the front half of the vehicle as a box per GW instructions, add the new sides, top and bottom then attach the GW back, door and tailfeathers. The wings fit in the same GW notch but the extra motor braces get clipped off.
