Deathwing Command Squad question

I am looking at equipping my DW Command Squad with thunder hammers and storm shields. But I've hit a snag with the apothecary. The first entry in the codex states one model may replace their power fist with a narthecium, which is not a weapon as I understand it. A later entry states that any model may replace all their weapons with a TH & SS.

Since the apothecary now only has one weapon, does this mean it can be equipped with a TH& SS and still retain the narthecium?

As I understand it that when you upgrade to apothecary the model becomes a Deathwing Apothecary(which has its own profile), and that the options that say "Deathwing Terminator" no longer apply as the upgraded model is no longer of that type.

I think you are stuck with just the storm bolter on the apothecary!

Yes, as AirHorse says, once it is Upgraded to an Apothecary it is no longer a "Deathwing Termy".
