Can I clarify your opinions on what firing arcs a chimera has for its own weapons (relatively easy) and its passengers using the various fire points (a bit more open to interpretation).

In this example let's look at a Chimera with turret multilaser, hull heavy bolter and a pintel stubber. Embarked on it are 10 veterans with 1 laspistol, 7 lasguns and 2 plasmas.

Chimera
1. Multilaser = 360 degrees.
2. Heavy Bolter = 45 degrees, i.e. 22.5 degrees to each side of straight ahead.
3. Stubber = 360 (as it is usually modeled on the turret commanders hatch).

Passengers
4. The laspistol and 1 of the lasguns cannot fire.
5. The 2 plasmaguns fire out the hull hatch fire point. Do they have a 360 arc or a 320 degree arc (approx) being unable to fire ahead because the chimera turret is in the way?
I assume these are still able to fire at BS4?
6. 3 lasguns using the left las battery. Can they fire out the side in a fixed arc of 45 degrees or are they allowed to fire 180 degrees from directly ahead to directly to the rear as the firepoints can be seen from there and the lasguns themselves (if you don't glue them in) are able to wiggle in their ball joints. These are limited to BS3 but does that include if the chimera moved 12"?
7. As in point 6 but on the right las battery.

Split fire
8. Is it legal for the chimera to shoot target A, the plasmas to shoot target B, the left lasguns to shoot target C and the right lasguns to shoot target D?
Throw in a techpriest and you could even split the chimeras weapons to shoot target E by giving it power of the machine sprit.

1) yes
2) yes
3) yes
4) ok
5) 320 seems right but no ones going to be picky, the height of models shooting out the hatch is never defined
6) they are fixed right? so 45
7) same
8) no, re-read the split fire rules.

To point 8 - Partial Yes - Enginseer gives a Chimera "Power of the Machine Spirit" which allows the chimera to split targets. The squad inside can only engage 1 target.

Chimera can shoot one target, everyone on board can target another squad, all las guns and fire point firers do have to target the same squad however, if they can't then (say Right side has LoS, left side doesn't) then only those with Los to the target unit can shoot.

With regards to the chimera turret, it'd be a small target if the chimera turret blocks los. Normally a top hatch gives 360 degrees, bar anything blocking Los.

Lasgun arrays: Each array may shoot at a different target to the chimera's other weaponry, though all the lasguns in the same array must shoot at the same target.
