Warseer's SamTheSane (http://www.warseer.com/forums/showthread.php?392829-FAQ-and-Errata-Article-Updates&p=7125059&viewfull=1#post7125059) saw the missing FAQs on the GW website and wrote them.

After the Errata and FAQ articles were removed from the GW website following the update, I sent GW (UK) an email asking what had happened to them. I got this response this morning:

"Hi Sam

Thanks for the email regarding the FAQs on the new website.

Currently the FaQ's are not available on the website, as the design team are taking this opportunity to fully update all the FAQ and Errata articles. This is only temporary and these FAQ's will be made available again in the very near future.

I hope that this helps, but if you need anything further, please feel free to contact us again.
Kind regards
Lydia"

So apparently we should be getting a full update for ALL FAQ and Errata articles soon, straight from the horse's mouth.

Now, why oh why did they not just put that message on their website? It would have saved a lot of wailing and gnashing of teeth!

Because their website is powered by NERDRAGE.

Everyone knows that.

Quick, tell Daboarder, I am being critical of GW policies ;)

I hope the new FAQs just say "Follow The most Important Rule" for every question. Just to see the Nerdrage that would ensue.

I think when they say "Fully update all FAQ's", they mean we are just finishing 7th ED. And by "will be available in the near future", They mean for a nominal fee - lets say $120.

Yes. Give into your hate and take your place at my side.

Then you're journey to the dark side will be complete

Never. I'll never turn to the Dark Side. You've failed, your daboarderness. I am a fanboi, like my father before me!

But do all of hem need updating? Some of the better written army books and codexes don't have many FAQ's or erratas and don't have anything that needs addjping to them.

I think they'll reformatting a lot of stuff and maybe if this rumoured re-adjustment of the rules is true, they're taking that into consideration.

Pretty much yup ;)

But yeah, this is a no brainer, have the FAQ place holder plage with a standard message saying FAQs are coming be patient.

After all, a number of the local GW shops have pushed out that message over FB, and I am sure that the web team must have fielded this same question numerous times...

eh Im trying to stay away from thinking about what GW COULD do these days, I get too irritated about it.

Im trying instead to just look at the good things and focus on the parts of the hobby I enjoy the most (modeling and converting and narrative gaming)
giving the positive attitude thing a go....

ok who swapped our brains?

They have ZERO web presence at the corporate level. It is a bunch of accountants and artists trying to maintain a PR campaign and failing IMO. (They probably laid off or fired those folks anyway....)

the problem is that every time they make headway with the community some corporate nut loses his **** and cans the whole thing (re: facebook page for digital editions.......)

Because their website is powered by NERDRAGE.

Everyone knows that.

It is a very powerful, renewable energy source. I commend them for being so green. ;)

It used to be powered by Virgin Tears, but that caused a great deal of Nerdrage, so they just harnessed that instead :p

You can tell when GW get asked the same question many times in a short space of time - A) they actually reply, and B) you suddenly see a lot of identical answer emails have been sent out from them on here. I got the same response this morning.

Pfft, its nothing new. When I worked in GW customer service back in 2000, we had cut and paste responses for 90% of the e-mails we recieved. Only the other 10% might be something not covered in the stock answers. So it was much easier to skim the day's worth of e-mails, pick out the ones that can be answered with cut and paste and then later deal with the 10%.

Better than the way it seems to be these days. Those that can't be cut and paste seem to be ignored, unless the word complaint goes in somewhere. Or that's my experience anyway.
