Taking some time out from forums and the hobby in general, I've struggled to maintain an interest as you guys well know this year and even though a few things have sparked my interest. Nothing has for long. Well not GW based anyway.
Life's thrown us a few curve balls at home and now we've made the decision to up sticks and move abroad I've made a conscious effort to put everything else aside to concentrate on the logistics of moving my family to Canada. Anything else is a bit of a distraction. Selling everything hobby wise except my painting equipment and X-Wing stuff as there's no way I'm taking it with me. Just not practical.
So I just wanted to say take it easy guys and gals, play safe and thanks for the entertaining chats we've had.
If I'm on your friends list then truly thank you for putting up with me :D

Denzark, Psycho, Wolfie, TDA, Electric Pala, Build, Lucas, Cope, Energongoodie, Mr Mystery, Dark Link, DaBoarder, Gott, Scad, Shades, Dooley and Wildey. Oh and even you EG despite your ott feminist hyperbole :p. You guys for me make the forum. Cheers and all the very best.
Joe (Deadlift).

Well blow me down Deady! Bloody hell that is a surprise. 'A few curve balls' results in emigration! I hope all is well, that you and Clan Deadlift do alright and also that you are not stuck with the French bit of Canada.

Also let us know if your hobby stuff sticks on the ebay, we'll try and lighten your load lol. I hope you come back on and let us know how the move goes big man, you'll be missed on here.

I hope we see you again soon. Let me know if you ever come down to California, now that it's less of a production, as you'll be all Canadiod. Take care!

Bah. California has better women. They will eat your women and make you a new one who is twice as strong. You'll see.

Ahem.

I have to say that I agree with Marneus. Once something is sold it's gone forever. Put it in storage. Find a buddy with a big whose who will leave it in a closet for you. Heck - find someone who's into the hobby and give it to him as a semi-permanent "you can play with all this stuff but don't alter it" loan. Once it's gone it's gone, and you might regret it if you ever come back to the hobby.

Unless you're really sure that you don't want to play anymore and this life transition is really just a convenient excuse, in which case, if you're sure... yeah, turn it into cash.

We'll keep you a spare horse old chap.

Be a shame to not have you around, but if you need a break, you need a break.

Good luck with getting everything sorted, and hurry back when you're ready :D

But Canada has mooses (which I am sure DL can eat) and has like 6 months of snow. I also hear you can see beavers all over the place!

But bad news DL, will have to make the effort to get to GamesDay...

But how shall we derail gamesday if we're all going to have to go?

Apparently the colonials don't get the beaver joke. Beavers are just tree eating mammals to them.

He could be one that snuck his way in here. If so, he needs 'repatriating' forthwith.

'Tis a fitting tribute to our fallen brother, his signature banner may not have always contained it but he was a fellow horseman.

Not colonial then, but I'm afraid we'll still have to repatriate you when Scots bugger off later in the year.

Darren Richardson
04-14-2014, 07:50 AM
nah they won't take me, did you not catch I was born in London, every time I go up to scotland I get called an English B'stard, which since I'm part scotish is funny especially as my cusins were the ones who called me that :D

Deadlift, godspeed! I wish you and yours nothing but the best. Perhaps once you get settled down here on this continent you can make your way south some time and visit Texas. I will buy you that beer that we've talked about! Cheers, mate! Cope
