Hey doods!

So, I'm working on a Space Sharks army (I have more Space Sharks painted over the past month than I have of my beloved Chaos Marines that I've had for over 5 years, yay gray on gray), and I'm having some trouble building a list for them.

First off, here's what I want to include:

Tyberos the Red Wake (or comparable Terminator Captain with a Chainfist and Lightning Claw)
Squad of 5 Terminators with Lightning Claws (this is a troop choice if my friends let me play with the Carcharadons rules, which they typically will)
-I figure these guys will be together, and they give me the most trouble in planning this list..
Stormtalon
Ironclad Dreadnought (built for Close Combat)
Tac squad with Combi-Plasma, Plasma, Missile Launcher
Tac squad with Combi-Grav, Grav, Missile Launcher

Now, at my disposal, I also have a Chaplain, Command Squad, 2 Rhinos, and 1 Razorback (which could also be a Rhino)

Here's the thing. I need a delivery method for those Terminators and that Dreadnought. The obvious thing would be to take a Stormraven and take it all in one thing and have the Stormtalon escort so that everything comes in at the same time and does a nice hard beta strike. Or, I could put those Terminators in a Land Raider and not worry about them not coming in by chance. A Redeemer (that's the flamethrower one right?) would be pretty fun, and I'm a big fan of str 6 ap 3 ignores cover from my Chaos days...

So, Stormraven or Land Raider?

Also, what would you guys recommend for the Tac squads and Ironclad? Should I just go all Drop Pod?

I have both a land raider (crusader) and a stormraven in my stable, and I can't say that you'll be disappointed with either. The land raider is slightly more reliable, since it is more durable and not as likely to end up velocity locked, forcing your terminators to jump out the back. As awesome as it was - and it was awesome in both games where it happened... which was also both games where I fielded that particular list :( - it was tactically kind of annoying.

On the other hand, that land raider? It got stuck on terrain both times I used it as a delivery method, so maybe there's just no escaping the wrath of bad luck.

For context, I play with the Blood Angels codex and I'm usually delivering terminators (hammernators, in my case), so the rest of our list has similar capabilities, except that I can't have a stormtalon and one or both of my tac squads are actually assault squads.

Additionally, I want to add that there are two other factors to consider. Firstly, you don't really need a stormraven as much as I do because you get a stormtalon, which means that you are pretty much all set for anti-air. And don't forget that pouring too many points into flyers can leave you with big chunks of your list coming in piecemeal, which is bad.

On the other hand, unlike me you aren't as likely to start the game with your troops in reserve, which I usually do if I want to Deep Strike them, which means that you have more flexibility to put other stuff in reserve, like say, a stormraven...

Good points. I like the idea of the reliability of the Land Raider Redeemer, and everything about it tactically screams 'run forward and deliver the payload', having those giant flamers and whatnot.

On the other hand, the rest of my list is looking like a solid ground force, with Tac squads in Rhinos, and probably two Drop Pods, one for a Dread, one for another Tac squad or Stern squad. This, I feel, will give me a good bit of mobility, flexibility, and answers to most things on the table.

I've never really liked the Stormraven, but the thing it's got going for it is a much higher damage output. Plasma Cannon plus Multi Melta plus Missiles plus Hurricane Bolters... granted, I'm only firing a few of those at any given point. The Stormtalon, though much weaker, really fits the bill a lot better in my opinion, with enough firepower to put a dent in light vehicles or infantry, or to knock other fliers out of the sky. The Stormraven as a delivery method feels way too much like putting all my eggs in one basket... having firepower, my dread, my terminators, my Warlord all in one thing that could get knocked out of the sky via a Riptide's Interceptor, and then suddenly there's well over 500 points gone.

Thanks for the tips! I'll start working on a final list!
