Battlefleet Gothic!
Think about it...
• Limited settings (the bridge of the Imperial ship, the bridge of the Chaos ship, a couple of pastoral or office settings for flashbacks, and that's all you need).
• You can easily play with the lighting, both to create mood (red-tinged Chaos bridge, anyone?) and hide low-quality makeup/costume/prosthetics work.
• The plot rights itself. Just rip off pretty much any submarine movie ever made, or some of the more straightforward Star Trek episodes.
I think it would be awesome.
