Thunderwolf Cavalry

Hello BoLS community. I just joined so forgive me if I'm posting this in the wrong place, or bringing up a dead topic, or any other noob mistakes that I might have made.

I'm creating a pre-heresy Space Wolves army, and now that I have a solid foundation to build upon, I was going to try and expand the bizarre side of the new codex and incorporate various amounts of wolves into the strike force, so I was wondering if anyone has some good suggestions for models I might be able to convert into Thunderwolf Cavalry? I've been looking around a bit and I can't seem to find any models that can really be used for the giant thunderwolves that the Space Wolves ride upon. I've been told to use the wolves from the fantasy goblin rider box set, but they are far too small, and 40K radio mentioned the use of a new reindeer model that I personally think is a bit ridiculous. I was hoping someone might have run into the same situation and would be willing to offer any advice that they could.

these I used for my wolflords, had to do a bit of greenstuffing, cutting and filing but they turned out great...

these I used for the regular calvarly and they maintain nice cohesion with the other wolves (the lord ones) and on these the space marine legs just pop right in....

have to warn you tho, the wolves do look a tad small for the marines, still, they worked out well enough, Ill try and get some pics up once they are painted; another suggestion might be something I read about somewhere where people where putting one of the goblin rider wolves (sans goblin) along with a space wolf mini (with assault marine legs) on a termi base, thats probably a cheaper alternative....

I use these Heroclix "fenris wolf" toys. I got them off ebay and in comic stores for about $4-$6 a piece.

I don't have a pic up yet, but I converted the WFB metal chaos lord on juggernaught for my Iron priest on thunderwolf mount.

Thanks for the help guys, looking into the models they look pretty solid. Maybe a little small for what I'm looking for but I'm sure I can bulk them up. I was also turned onto some lions from the Fantasy High Elf set.
