I noticed that when you put Njal in "Runic Terminator Armor" via Army Builder is says he has the following saves:

2+ Armor, 4+ Inv, and a +5 Inv against wounds caused by psychic attacks.

Can anyone give me a situation where the +5 Inv would be used? As in a psychic power that doesn't allow any save. Cause the way I read Runic Armor it is a save vs. the wound caused not the power itself. Thus if there is a power that allows no save, the Runic Armor save could be used against the wound caused.

I am thinking I am right about the way it works. I just can't think of when it could be used. Please help me out on this. If I am wrong please correct me on this. I am merely looking for answers. Thank you for taking the time to read and help me on this.

Army Builder is wrong. Njal's runic terminator armor just gives him a 2+ armor save and a 4+ invulnerable save. As you have correctly reasoned out, the 4+ invulnerable save is in every way better than a 5+ invulnerable save that only works on wounds caused by psychic powers.

You don't use Army Builder to play the game, you need the Codex.

TY buff for those magical words of wisdom....I have a Codex. I also see that Runic Armor is +2 with a 5+ Inv against wounds caused by psychic attacks. And for 25 points you can give Njal "Runic" term armor which gives +2 with a 4+ Inv. I believe my question above was when would the +5 Inv against wounds caused by psychic attacks be used that a regular Inv couldn't be used. Thankfully Nab actually answered and helped me out, and was not a douche about it.

But your question was asking why Army Builder is saying this or that, not the codex.

If you want to know that, you need to contact the datafile author for your particular datafile and ask him.
