So I decided to start a thread with my various builds and WIP as I continue to build my army to the maleficent glory of the Dark Gods.

Hell Knight

Originally started as a stand in for a Warhound or to use custom Knight rules GW was nice enough to release rules for the
Imperial Knights, which is what I now plan to use. It is a semi-converted Dreamforge Leviathan Crusader, but other than painting there isn't much conversion done.

This is my most recently completed project (done for a painting contest). It is another Dreamforge Leviathan, this one is the Mortis version. I was going to more of a slight diorama feel to it because it has such a large base, as a result I came up with sort of a short back story to accompany him and have included it if anyone feels like giving it a read:

Sorry I meant to say, the backdrop and smoke effects are Photoshopped it's just something I found online. My friend has a green screen set up in his basement for some work he does.
Also I know that CSM aren't allowed to have the knights yet (though I fully expect that some later release will allow it) but I have been rather lucky that no one has turned a game down with them yet.
I also made some other weapons to run them as Warhounds, as their size is considerably larger than the knight and less bulky than the Warhound.

I'm still working on some others. I hope to have a full set of Warhound and all future Knight variant releases so I can use them more flexibly.

Like I had mentioned briefly before, when I started on the Leviathan Crusader the rules hadn't been released for the knights yet so I was looking like it would be more acceptable to use him as a Warhound. So I added these magnetized pieces on the shoulder armor to work as Void shield counters:

And because dreamforge designed them with swappable arms it makes it pretty simple to configure them however you want (or at least it will once I have built some more of the weapons)

Question, how do you do chain? Are the links glued solid or loose? Do you paint it before or after placing it?

I'm glad you liked it! The chain is Silver and was oxidized, then dipped in typhus corrosion, small random dabbing of the rust technical paint, and some random silver. The chain links are still moving but it is glued on at key locations so that while it can move it will not move out of place.

Thanks man! I think they work out pretty well, especially with the new larger knights from forgeworld. I plan on making some new arms for them that will represent the various forgeworld knights sometime in the near future.

The fires of the forge burn hot... But it does not produce just Titans, and there is much in the works. The next heretical war machines will be as follows:
