I'm starting to work on a new ork army...I have a general plan, that being that the warboss will not be the true brainz behind the waaagh, instead his nefarious painboss ally is really the one in charge.

However, I'm just getting started, and my first step is going to be a mekboy junka. These awesome vehicles have just become even more awesome since the Dread Mob FAQ, plus they're just full of orky goodness.

Now, if you go look for mekboy junka pictures, what you'll see are looted rhinos. Lots and lots of looted rhinos. I of course, say zog dat noise. I want something with style, with speed! With a complete lack of concern for proper safety procedures and common sense!

And so, here's something different:

C&C Welcome, but keep in mind I'm just getting started on it. :)

I had to split the trukk chassis to get the bommer down to the right height. Current plans are for a supa-skorcha turret behind the pilot/driver, replacing the wheels with ones from Kromlech, adding some suspension bits, fenders, and a chainsaw spoiler. And some riggers, of course.

Reminds me of the graphic novel about the Deff Skwadron. At some point they had to construct these kinds of vehicles because they did a grand maintenance on their flyers. Great work so far. Hope to see more of them.

This *may* have had something to do with inspiring my original idea. :) Deff Skwadron really captures what I think the true spirit of orkiness is.

This is going to be the only plane-based vehicle in the army, the rest of it will be other examples of ork know-wotz, IE: cyborks, monowheels, et al.

Since I have a problem focusing my attention on one thing at a time, I tend to end up with half an army in various stages scattered over my workbench.

As I mentioned earlier, here's a WIP of the evil genius painboss... Sitting in a tire, because I haven't gotten to his lower half yet...

Now I know what Mr Monopoly keeps under his hat.

The tire's a great idea for a turret ring.

Yes, I'm sloooow. But, I do eventually get there.

A couple more pics of the Junka Jet WIP... Added Kromlech buggy wheels, shock absorbers, wing stubs. Yes, I know the tires are backwards, they aren't glued in yet. :)

Thanks, Proiteus! I approve of any rebel grot kommandas out there. :) I actually won a GT with them, way back in the day.

Right now, I'm kinda waffling on where to place the supa skorcha on this model. It's either going to go up front, in the jet intake, or mounted on a turret. Also still pondering a deff rolla. I don't want to do the traditional one, as the model will end up being two feet long.

Decisions, decisions!

Nice Orkish build! Where did you get the wheels?

The wheels are from a polish company called Kromlech. You can find them on ebay, amazon, the warstore, and other places around the web. They make good stuff, highly recommended.
