That is really nice painting, but honestly that doesn't scream I want it to me.

Looking at it, I largely think it is the face that throws it off for me, in that it contrasts so heavily it looks off, ends up looking like a rat. Having spent about fifteen minutes looking at it, it could also potentially be the variety of colours that do not appear to mix as seamlessly as one would think those series of colours would.

Thousand Sons conversions are always awesome to see. Yours looks great. I'm always surprised at how people work the Thousands Sons aesthetic into models. Keep up the great work.

That is a superb conversion! The conversion is simplicity itself but the execution of the paint job is flawless, congratulations!

Keep it coming

Wow, wow, wow and another wow...

Conversion = Awesome
Paintjob = Awesome
Base = Awesome

I love the construct feel of it and how you made it look alive with that flaweless and crispy paintjob... Honestly I have nothing to moan or give you constructive critisism about it... Just *two thumbs up*
Curious what the rest of your army will be like! Amazing work sir

It does look a bit rat-like but it also looks a bit cat-like.

I looked at quite a few and most others end up painting the skull the same color as the body which considering the skeletal nature of the head, does not look quite right. I did think about adding some green stuff here and there to the head to simulate the last bits of skin and flesh but my skills are limited when it comes to sculpting.

Going by the story/fluff of the Rubric marine Thousand Sons basically turning to dust and only existing as spirits sealed in their armor, I thought an undead type head would look best as opposed to the stock head that comes with the kit which of course is more organic.

So in the end, I ended up with with a rat/cat-like daemon engine with an Egyptian-esque slant.

Don't be a dick, dude. Let's see you paint something that looks like that. Do you have any idea how difficult that is?

I am not being a dick. I said I really like his painting, just I don't like it. One can recognize someone is talented without having to like their work.

I like the piece as well, it's great. I personally would have done something different with the head but that doesn't mean I don't like it. All that matters is that Riskfactor likes it. He has a lot to be proud of.
