I hope u like it, its made of cardboard, an a little plastic. 99% GW bits free :D

The beggining; i downloaded some sheets, saw then for a minute, throw them and built it as i pleased

The main body. NEVER throw away that little toys of your childhood. nor those old notebooks. They are a gold mine!

The glorious reactors, made with a cardboard tube and some GW empty paint bottles

Answering the ¿could it be better built? question.. Yeah, no doubt, with more time, materials, tools, skill etc it could be much better, but i wanted a thunderhawk (or something identifiable as one) without spending almost 600€ and spending less than 20€, and i think i got it ^^

Glory to the cardboard and my cutter... :D

Extremely awesome. That looks great. It looks as good as the Forgeworld one I'd say.

Woooow. That is really good. On par with the 600 dollar Forgeworld model. One of the best scratch built models I have ever seen.

However, there is room to be improved. It could use a little more details, as it looks somewhat plain in my opinion. Just simple constructive criticism, but do not overdo the details. EVER

Beautiful, absolutely beautiful.

Honestly not trying to highjack your thread or anything but this guy (http://www.ironhands.com/thawk.htm) used some old Pod Racer toy bitz for his engine and used lots of odd sci-fi toys, although he was trying to recreate something that wasn't very well "established" like the FW model and basically opposite to the FW model . TBH the only thing your T-hawk needs to me is some more rivets and armour plating.

Nevertheless you got skills that I could only dream of.

Personx2, i cant be but grateful for that pics. Really. Its nice to see that kind of proyects. Its really inspiring.

My thunderhawk was made fast and with no preparation, i just got the cardboard, printed a pair of pics and began cutting. The finished models talk about the time and the preparation. I just have not the patience :D

fuzz, i made a rhino and failed too

Amazing, I would love to try and build a scratch built anything.

I might just give it a try!

How long did it take you to make the Thunderhawk?
