Here he is! (http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/New_Stuff/HORUS_THE_WARMASTER_PRIMARCH_OF_THE_SONS_OF_HORUS. html)

http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Images/Product/DefaultFW/large/Horus-main.jpg

£60 to you, squire.

Horus was the Primarch of the Luna Wolves Legion, later re-named the Sons of Horus in his honour, and greatest of his superhuman kind. A tactical genius and charismatic battle leader, Horus proved himself over the course of the Great Crusade as a warlord second only to the Emperor whom he served and called father.

So it was that when the Emperor stood apart from the burden of command of the Great Crusade, it was Horus that he named Warmaster in his stead. But ambition and pride festered within the Warnaster's heart and at Davin he fell, and the lies and corruption of the Warp infected his soul. From then on he plotted with dark forces to usurp the Emperor's throne and become the master of Mankind, throwing the galaxy into bloody civil war.

Horus the Warmaster, designed by Simon Egan, is an amazingly detailed multi-part resin model armed with The Warmaster's Talon and the great power maul Worldbreaker and is equipped with the Serpent's Scales. This latest addition to our Horus Heresy Character Series stands atop a scenic base depicting a ruined Imperial balustrade and stone staircase and is also supplied with a smaller removable base for gaming use. As with all of our Character series models, Horus is supplied in a handsome presentation box.

This model is available to pre-order now and will despatched from Monday 14th April. You can find out more about how Simon Egan approached this most iconic of Horus Heresy modelling projects here.

ffs, I've got four to buy now at once...

Plus they often paint Sanguinius as being his equal...

But where are my Legion rules in 40k?

wonder who Simon's working on now... "embossed plate" kinda sounds like Vulkan, or maybe Mortarion...

Nice enough.

Well they certainly captured him! I like the base moreso than the previous pile of bodies: him standing on the Aquila's face is a great image.

Nice enough.

That's the understatement of the day :)

*crooning* There she is... Miss Heresy..

Sorry, the staircase base just seems right out of a beauty pageant :)

I hate to say it, but the first thing that comes to mind is "great, now the 40k model for Abaddon looks even more pathetic". That being said, I love the pose and the facial expression, it's like he regrets going to Chaos, but he's going to make sure things get done properly.

Just get the FW Abaddon :)

Or use Horus if you're really fruity!

I love everything about it except the face. Its just so generic looking, its bald but slightly regal space marine captain No.143. Otherwise I think it looks great.

WOw, as someone who has been playing 40K since second edition and never cared about Choas since I have a 7K Tyranid Army, a Crimson Fist Army I just did for armies on Parade ( you can find me on the magazine! ) , an Imperial Guard Army and a Daemons army, all of which I have never played, I just collected and painted for fun, and seeing all the house made models of Horus which I found amazing, I have to say that this model just made me geeeez all over the place and I am definitely buying the model of the main bad guy of this Lore. I think it is a perfect model and I seriously can't believe ppl are complaining about it. Then again, who doesn't complain about anything here.

Excellent work FW!

Rather tempted to start a Sons of Horus HH army on the strength of this sculpt, the more I look at it the more I like it.

My only complaint is that the size of his head perhaps makes him look a little squat: if it were perhaps 8% smaller, then his armor would probably look more "towering". The 360 in the video helped assuage that to some degree, so perhaps it is just the angles that I have seen so far. Me like-y.

The Abaddon & Loken FW model was released over a year ago, and I know a few Chaos players that use that model instead of the GW one. Maybe that will work better for you.

Nice but not £60 nice, that's more than a complete relic pattern contemptor dreadnought with enough left over to buy a really nice scenic base and some modelling materials.

Seeing as we know what Primarchs are supposed to be in the next book - could his "next project" be Leman Russ? I mean, the sculpting time makes sense.

That would be silly, we still have Vulkan, Mortarion, Konrad Curze, Rogal Dorn, Alpharius/Omegon (I'm seriously beginning to think that he might be the same person, with severe schizophrenia), Corvus Corax, and Peturabo to go before he starts anyone else.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but no.

or grab the 30k abbadon and hack apart the 40k one....

Though I wonder if there is a size difference in the talon

Tzeentch's Dark Agent

30ks is larger because it's more in-scale.

Someone at GW Shrewsbury bought Abaddon and we had a compare-y.

right good to know.

So 30k armies? They are about the same cost as 40k ones these days aren't they?

I was going to wait for a Blood angel army...but...yeah, so sons are pretty nice......

Not even close. Double the price of a standard army basically.

As do I, there's nowhere to say that it isn't a possibility.

Dalleron
03-22-2014, 08:21 AM
That's true. Have Alpharius and Omegon ever been in the same place at the same time in the books?

Charon
03-22-2014, 08:50 AM
I guess I can remeber at least 2 instances. Have to look it up but once in Legion they are on the same scene I think in the emperors incubator room there is mentioned that 2 babys shared one capsule.

DWest
03-22-2014, 10:33 AM
There's definitely a scene in Legion where Alpharius and Omegron are in the same room together, it's one of their first meetings with the Imperial Army when they're called in for support; Deliverance Lost also has Alpharius onboard his flagship while Omegron is planetside in a different system mucking about with an uprising. So pretty sure they're separate bodies at least.

Charon
03-22-2014, 03:56 PM
I also think Alpharius/Omegron is mentioned as one soul in two bodies (not the other way round ;) )

Never seen a schizophrenic talk to him/herself as two different people?

Tbh.. no.
More important I also never heard that other people can actually also SEE a shizophrenics second personallity physically standing next to them.
Maybe you want to read the books again. Alpharius and Omegron are clearly twins who share the powers of a single primarch.

Tzeentch's Dark Agent
