I've never understood why more people don't take Ratlings, 100 points for a ten man sniper unit, that is in a slot mostly unused...(from what I've seen)

This must be from 5th edition or this tournament had special rules, I could Have sworn you could only Keep half your force(rounded up) in reserve, unless they had a rule that forced them to be in reserve(drop pods/Legion/all flyers are all I can think off).....

Umm, why does this example from 5th edition, using big 30 man squads of stuff from the tau codex, make you want to take stuff from the IG codex in 6th?

I thought this was actually late 4th want it?

thats why they needed the TO because there were no rules governing what happened if you had no units on the table and no chance of ever having units on the table

From what I can think of 6th is the only edition with rules about what happens with no units on the table.

yeah which was why the judge was called in, because the bloke couldnt GET on the table and seeing as the other bloke wasn't going to move off that edge, would never get on the table

Good for him! Stellar rule interpretation and manipulation to put a cheeser in his place!
