Hello EPIC Fans!

Yes indeedly the EPIC UK Imperial Guard army book has been released, and what a book it is! Not only has EPIC UK updated the Steel Legion and Baran Siegemaster army lists, but we've also added two new armies. Firstly the Ulani; an armoured division featuring as many Leman Russ variants as we could get our hands on. Secondly the Vanaheim Air Cavalry; a whole army consisting of mobile Imperial Guard troops in Vultures, Valkyries and the new Vendettas. It's a brilliant, brilliant codex; but don't take our word for it ... download it now and have a look yourself.

Now with all the EPIC UK tournaments finished for the year, you would have thought EPIC UK Towers would have been closed; the lights would all be off and cobwebs would be gathering on each and every desk ... but on the contrary, December seems to have been EPIC UK's busiest time of the year.

First thing to mention is that EPIC UK has managed to nail down all dates for all the tournaments (bar London) for 2010. Now this means that the mandatory calendar your other half bought for Christmas 'to record things' can be filled out right now with all the EPIC UK events for the year ... so when she says (or shouts depending on the circumstances) that she didn't know about a certain EPIC UK event, you can stand their, all smug, and say it's written on the calendar ... another helpful relationship aid brought to you by EPIC UK!

Also to mention are the changes to the EPIC UK rules pack for 2010; at the AGM in November it was decided that the painting scores should be changed to make painting fairer for all; EPIC UK has risen to the challenge and, if you download any of our rules packs, you will see the painting score changes that will be used in 2010.

Also discussed at the AGM was the introduction of additional armies designed, and then submitted, by people within the EPIC community. So far we are looking for Space Marine and Ork army lists that EPIC UK haven't already covered ... and so far the response has been immense; however if you have a variant Space Marine, or Ork army list then please let us know by emailing us at [email protected] and we will let you know more detail; there is also a tread on Tactical Command about the submission of army lists ( http://www.tacticalwargames.net/forums/index.cgi?act=ST;f=4;t=17335 ). Please be aware that EPIC UK are constantly updating army lists so it may take a little while for us to look at your list.

Right that’s it from us; I hope you all have an EPIC new year.
