So I have been toying with an idea. I would like to build an army that scares its opponent off the board. Looking to use anything that effects enemy leadership, the less shooting or cc the better. I'm looking to build 2000 points, allies are allowed. As far as I know there are a couple units that would work for this.
Might go with primary force eldar, with allied imperial guard.
Possible units:
Farseer
Warlocks
Hemlock wraith fighter
Shadow specters
Rangers
Primaris psyker
Psyker battle squad

If there are any armys that do this better that I'm not thinking about let me know. I think the list that I have would really mess with enemy leadership, plus has things like mind war to make enemys heads explode. And pinning from the rangers should limit my opponents movement and ability to hurt me back. Please give me feedback and ideas.

Dark Eldar Raiders with Torment Grenade Launchers (-1 LD within 6 inc.) and shock plows you can charge 30 inches and tank shock them off the board.

That would be a little funny actually. Hit them all at once and break their whole army in one go.

I have been toying with psyker battle squad - reduce LD - then follow up with the psychic scream power from the BRB. I can't remember but I think its telekinesis primary power. the enemy roles 3d6 and every point above leadership is a wound with very little in the way of saves. It is 12" range so if you can get it so your psyker is within the 12" (read drop pod, jump pack or bike and possibly DS for turn 2+) and the target is also within 36" of the PBS, bob's your uncle. Also you'd probably get 25% even on a bog blob unit so with their LD down they may run like girls. Also good against MCs I reckon, as long as they have no meaningful psychic defence.

I think the psyker battle squad combined with the hemlock is great too. Reduce ld, then use the hemlocks terrify to strip fearless and force a ld test. Breaking units right off the table. And with the hemlock they have to re-roll successful ld checks and pinning tests. Assuming you pass your psychic test your almost guaranteed to make something run.

I toyed with this idea some time ago with Blood angels fear the darkness + IG battle squad.....

What about fear the darkness with eldar? Hemlock removing fearless and forcing re-rolls on successful ld test and librarian using ftd forcing -2 ld tests. Thats basically 2 chances to ld test a unit forcing them to run.

sorry, but I was under the impression that in 6th ed. a 'ram' move or indeed a tank shock move is now made in the movement turn and therefore cannot exceed 12" {or possibly a little further with some special move bonus?}, remaining movement speed is taken/used later in the turn to go 'flat out' after the shooting phase.

is it still the case that you can 'add' both speeds together and take them as a single move ? ; or is that a misinterpretation ?
