Has anyone done heavy flamer conversions for the dreads? The little piddly ones that come in the box look like standard issue marine flamers...I was hoping for something a little more robust to represent 'heavy' flamers. I have the flame storm cannon sponsons from the Land Raider Crusader/Redeemer kit and was hopeful, but they are huge in comparison. Unless I can find a way to make them work, I need something in the in between stages.

just glue two flamers together bottom to bottom and remove the bottom ones iron sight......
or use centurion flamers, or space wolf heavy flamer from terminators... do normal terminators have it as standard? its been that long LOL

You can always use one of the Heavy Flamers that comes with Leman Russ or Chimera tanks as well. Though they are a little large they're not as massive as the Flamestorm Cannons.

Puppetswar sells packs of big ol' flamers. They look nice, but you have to wait for shipping from europe.

Anyone know a good place to pick up bitz like those mentioned? Other than eBay, are there any GW bitz suppliers?

There are. Most of them got shut down by GW...because GW won't sell you product if you sell bits. The ones that are left tend to be places that just sell bits and nothing else. However, most if not all of them have rather spotty quality/customer service records. Personally, I'd rather stick with Ebay, and maybe the trade/for sale sections of the various 40k forums.

Which forums have more active trade/for sale sections?
