Like how you've proportioned the legs, they're less bulky than Space Marines, without being too weedy.
This is probably the first less-bulky take on 40k Power Armour legs I've really liked, most others make the model look too top-heavy - even Forgeworld's Primarch stuff. Kudos!

That is pretty darn fantastic. I particularly like the armour around the lower legs.

Glad to hear you love the legs! Seems to be some good response there, perhaps we will.. pursue that further ;)
Robes coming, possibly later tonight?

More progress on Brother Marcus...
We have added more details, scratch sculpted shoulder pads and the weapon.. We have begun the back reactor, and will eventually cover the crotch and butt with robes!

Butt robes.. hell yeah!!
This looks awesome. I'm just getting into sculpting things like pants and belts and whatnot.. this is very inspiring. What materials are you sculpting with if I may ask?

White= Magic sculpt
Grey= Super Sculpey Firm + Fimo Classic(skin colour)
So for the robe we start with Brown stuff, rolled out really thin, we will video tutorial all this stuff in the future so dont worry, but anyways, brown stuff for basic form, then you bake quickly to harden, apply greenstuff so sculpey can stick, while its still wet start applying sculpey mix... Same goes for the plume!

You have sculpted a beautiful and well executed model. Bravo Sir!
Might I however make an observation in that the waste and hips of this model are too slender. In the final piece the size issue is covered up by the cloth attacked to his belt and the bulk of the armour however in your earlier shots the anatomical error is obvious. Please do not take this in the wrong way... you are a master sculptor... I am merely proving constructive criticism/ feedback :)

Thanks and no worries, we dont take offense.
We just build off the existing Space Marine sizings, since they are meant to fit in with that sort of style. We true scale a bit of the heights or things like that but by no means aim for anatomical accuracy as so much would need to change!! hahaha

Thanks for taking the time to answer my question :) I have heard of others using fimo+sculpey before.. on top of greenstuff but I was always curious.. if you bake it with the greenstuff in there does it cause any problems or fumes or anything? In any case, thanks again!
On the anatomical stuff.. proportions and scale have to be taken a bit loosely when dealing with anything remotely dealing with anything GW. Look at IG torsos or the bore of a Leman Russ, size of most guns, or the structure of the shoulder area on about any citadel model.. none of it really makes a lot of sense. If you want more realism look to more recent Infinity sculpts or MERCs.. Studio McVey etc..

We bake in a large counter top oven, so we dont put food in it... fumes if any are no more dangerous than most of the other chemicals in a hobby workshop so, we have masks if we need it, but theres not much putty to generate much fumes, plus its under a layer of polymer clay so even less likely.
Greenstuff has high heat resistance so its not affected by the fairly low baking temperature.
