So I have always have a difficult time keeping track of the Baneblade and its manifold variants. Doubly so with homebrews creating even more iterations. So, here is a quick cheat-sheet for the various Baneblade (and it's cousin the Felblade). Just pick a blank square and invent a new tank!! :p

This is a great idea. Just one thing; it's a Shadowsword not a Shadowblade.

Wasn't that an old Khornate Warlord Titan variant?

It sure was. Though now I cant remember if it was a Warlord. It may have been a Reaver.

Bladebane

Bladebane is a bit derpy, but "swordbreaker" would make a great name for a defense-focused IG tank. Maybe something with shield generators that has a 4++ itself and gives a 4++ to infantry within an X'' radius? And also a giant cannon of some kind. Of course.

What about the Fellglaive? the one with the big microwave gun? Need a new column for that one... :/

I think the Banelord was a warlord. With a tail that was a close combat weapon of some sort, it definitely had a tail :D
I may have a copy of the original PDF on my computer somewhere... hmm...

Having checked, the only datasheet in my "Heretical scum" folder on my pc is for the Decimator experimental rules. So unfortunately don't have a copy for that one. :P

Found it (in a white dwarf article that for some reason still exists on GW's website)

I like the part where you think I was being serious with ANY of those names. :D

Serious would be taking it too far. I thought that you were being ridiculous, but may have stumbled across something interesting.

ShadowBlade sounds like it should have one of those Dark Age of Technology, Dark Angels Land Speeder shroud-generator thingies mounted on it...cool conversion-fodder here! :)

Yeah, the Banelord was Warlord Titan sized, though it lacks any ranged D weapon options in the 40k datasheet. Very Khornate, it would make a good Halloween costum for a toddler :)

Where are the rules for the Stormhammer? It looks like it has 2 double-barreled turbo laser destructors.

I am unaware of the Stormhammer getting an Apocalypse datasheet. The Lexicannum reference is all the way back to Codex Titanicus (2nd Edition), pg. 55 (http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Codex_Titanicus_%282nd_Edition%29#.UxSjl16hv-o)

The Fellglaive is a reference to old school Epic, when the Baneblade and Shadowsword were known as the Glaive and Falchion tanks.

Based on GW's current naming scheme shouldn't all the "Storm" variants have wings?

My recollection of the Stormhammer's rules in Epic are that it had 4 dice worth of battlecannon shots, and 14 ( ! ) dice worth of bolters (which, in Epic, also included heavy bolters.

Basically, it should have two turrets with two battlecannons each, and then as many heavy bolters as you can fit on to the model.

For rules, I'd think the most logical thing to use for the turrets is the rules for a Macharius turret (a battle cannon with 7" blast). In fact, you may as well go for the long-barrelled ones that can also fire a (twin-linked) Vanquisher shell.

Oh, and does anyone have a link for Machinator's Stormhammer? Or at least a bigger photo?

Disregard, I found it myself:
Machinator's thread (http://www.lounge.belloflostsouls.net/showthread.php?10652-Fellblades-of-Renown-The-Ancient-Super-Heavies-of-the-Space-Marines/page8)
That page and the following page have the Imperial Fists Stormhammer, but it is worth going through the whole thread.

Er, actually I'm talking about the new(ish) FW kit with the massive volkite gun.

Here is the data sheet I came up with for the Warmaul, which is the predecessor of the Stormhammer in my fluff:

The Shadowhammer is the name a few of us have been using for a IG super-heavy missile tank. Here is my version:
