MECHANICUM MYRMIDON DESTRUCTORS (http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/New_Stuff/MECHANICUM_MYRMIDON_DESTRUCTORS.html)

£36.00

The Myrmidon Destructors are priests of the Mechanicum who specialise in the art of destruction with ranged weaponry and the embodiment of this within their own vastly augmented bodies.
This complete resin set contains three Mechanicum Myrmidon Destructor models with a volkite Culverin, irradiation engine and conversion beamer respectively. Mechanicum Thrall model shown in some images sold separately.

I think they look so much better in these resin close ups than the painted versions we saw. I really want these.

Skull in the chest = Awesome!

The more mechanicus I see, the more I need a mechanicus army

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Quite.

Spesh as they've continually avoided the laziness of steampunk

All I now hope is that the these awesome bionics get ported over to the Iron Hands, rather than the horrifically bland models we have seen thus far...

Those are very sweet! They would make some nice obliterators with just a bit of conversion too :)

Like but would replace the feet/legs with cables/wires.

With the level of sculpting on those, imagine how awesome the Custodes will look when they eventually get released! CN

These remind me a lot of Servitors. Except totally awesome.

I especially like the dynamic posing, particularly compared to Servitors.

How do I explain to the wife purchasing these is more important than making the car payment? Looks like I have to sell a couple pints of blood again...

The cables are done more like tendrils and look alive. SO much better then the limp hanging connections I'm used to seeing...

They look awesome, but I'd be really worried about how thin they are. Seems like they'd break off pretty darn easy.

Yeah I was going to say, I WISH servitors looked like this. Really digging both the details and the dynamic pose.

TBF, servitors are basically mindless. Doesn't shout dynamic to me- they just do what they are told/programmed to do. Whereas these guys are ordained mechanicus techpriests, so have the free will to do what they wish. IMO, if anything should have a static pose, it is a being that just stands there and drools when it's master stops giving it commands...

Quick observation.....

Whatever is in this weeks Blog? It's not one of these three. No 'over the shoulder' servo arm in sight.

I'm really hoping for a legion Techmarine or Master of the Forge.

Iron Warriors are next so it would fit.

Reckon it might be a Techmarine of some kind in Cataphractii armour.

Yeah I was thinking the same.

Put these dynamic poses next to the very static servitors and you now have a great scene with such character and story.
