Hey. I was looking around for inspiration for a converted or kit-bashed librarian and came across this

I have not been able to locate the copper or brass ridged wire that was used here for the conduits.

Anyone know a place to buy it? Thanks.

Guitar wire will work. Obviously for the lower strings

Actually that wasn't guitar wire; I tried but had to give up as guitar wire has far too much rigidity for that level of curvature. It can be done, it's just an absolute pain in the hole.

I used the wire made by Zinge industries. It's significantly more pliable, and much, much easier to use, although a LOT more expensive.

Oh! That's neat. I've always had the problem with guitar wire is that it is too ridgid and springy.

Thanks for the reply. Nice work on that lib model, btw.

Seconding a recommendation for that wore from Zinge, it's amazing stuff, worth the price to avoid the hassle of guitar wire, they now also sell a sprue of conduits that are sized for the wire to fit in to which is really cool

guitar strings in the right gauge are really easy to use. you just make a sharp right angle bend where you want to terminate the bend/curve, then use pliers to bend going slow, the zinge ones look cool like..... and are pretty cheap.... not as cheap as strings as i am a guitarist/bassist so i have them at hand :)
