Here's how to get rid of both...

Staff:

And blasting the Magic players:

These clips were shot at the local gaming store (shop called Gamers Of The West).
The owner wants some commercials made for the store, so we were mucking about with some lifesize heavy bolters, to see what would be possible.
One of the guys there is pretty handy with a camera and effects and slapped this stuff together real quick, just as an example. After the short scenes you see some of us just goofing off...
I'm in one of the videos too... Hooray, I'm famous! :D

Two observations:
1) That heavy bolter looks odd.
2) American game stores are MASSIVE! I've never been anywhere near a British store that big.

Looks like it was based on the old Space Marine Scout Heavy Bolter.

And I imagine these helped vent some pent up frustrations and aggressions on the part of your staff. Trust me, I've worked in retail, and know the feelings well.

The quality of the effects on that video was excellent. If you guys had a well-written commercial and a decent camera, you could do some really cool stuff.

Sometimes I want to shoot Magic players too...

2) They vary in size. I game at one store in the Houston area that is about 1200sq ft. My stores I owned were 3800 sq ft and 3200 sq ft. The stores I game at here in Austin are in the 3000 sq ft- 4000 sq ft range.

Great vid! (LOL)

On a slightly different note the (dececed) braehead GW was about 2sq FT if you wanted to walk around it everyone had to get out and the painting desk was underneath the tables! Its now a bagguette bar:mad:

BTW anyone else notice that argos stocks GW:confused:

Two reactions:
1) It's not a real heavy bolter... ;) It's made of MDF plates, so it's pretty hefty. There's two of those in the store, plus a Nurgle one.
2) Actually, it's not an American store. The store is in Rotterdam, Netherlands. The owner is however American.
The store is indeed big. Besides what you see in the video, there is also a downstairs gaming room, which is almost as big again as the store. It easily holds about 8 full size gaming tables down there.

Glad you guys enjoyed the vids. As said, it's just us messing around, but we will soon start work on some more real videos. I'm helping the owner and the director out with some script work.

awesome videos dude.

Yeah as for gaming store sizes my old one kept getting bigger because the guy who owned kept knocking down walls in the place! We still had two gaming tables for 40k/whfb and then some fold out tables for painting or the MTG kids (tended to avoid those nights tho haha). For tournys tho we could get about 6-8 tables going. Just a little tight. So yeah it was a pretty small place, but lots of fun.

My new one in Boston is pretty big tho. Its in the basement of a comic book store and on thursday night gaming there is roughly 25ish people there and we have about 8+ tables with games going on them at a time.

Besides this is America damn it! Everything MUST be obnoxiously large!:p

that was fun to watch, must've been fun to film as well.

although, if you want to scare away annoying customers (honestly what i thought this thread was about when i clicked on it), this ought to do the trick:
